Aurora Sánchez and Juan M. Zapata: Entrepreneurship Prizes

The Health Researchers Entrepreneurship Program awards two IIBM projects

  • The spin-off projects of Aurora Sánchez Pacheco and Juan Manuel Zapata Hernández were awarded at the 2023 DIH·bio initiative-sponsored Pich day of the Entrepreneurship Program for Health researchers.

Juan Manuel Zapata and Aurora Sánchez Pacheco have received the second and third prize, respectively, at the 2023 DIH·bio initiative-sponsored Pich day of the Entrepreneurship Program for Health researchers of "UAM emprende" and Genesis Biomed. Read more

Juan Manuel Zapata presented "Nabiza Pharmaceutics", a spin-off company project dedicated to the discovery of drugs from plants (Brasicaceae) for the treatment of leukemia and lymphoma. Aurora Sánchez Pacheco presented her spin-off company project "Cancer Catch", dedicated to the development of screening systems for cancer diagnosis based on microbiota analysis.

The "Entrepreneurship Program for Health Researchers" is framed within the DIH·bio initiative (ref OI2020-UAM-7.0) co-financed by the Community of Madrid through the 2020 Call for technological innovation link entities; led by the Autonomous University of Madrid (Vice Rector for Transfer, Innovation and Culture) and GENESIS Biomed (Venture Builder specialized in health).
